Its more about giving out our Business Newsletter which contains HR issues for everyday businesses
Maybe it is just a question of how you tell that story.
"Please send me all your friends email addresses" sounds like spam. On the other hand, how about this?
Let everyone know that you have an opt-in newsletter on HR issues. Get people to sign up and let them know that if they refer the most people to sign up they can win the pen. Also, provide a small email option that they can personalise to their friends, so that they promote your newsletter.
Slower than spam, but it probably provides you with a better subscriber base.
I am actually very interested in getting feedback on this promotion. I for one can go and doe an email search using facilities in Outlook express and find 1000's of Yahoo, hotmail etc. addresses for you to spam. But a Mont Blanc Pen simply isn't worth the trouble...
