    How do I get clients?

Hi guys, this is now my 3rd business. First 2 was 2 small businesses a ran part time, pest control and printing.

After some business experience I started a new company where I supply water treatment filters and chemicals.
Company is registered, got my BEE certificate and business banking account. All I need now is to apply for VAT registration before targeting big companies (food and beverage).I've been in the water treatment for 10years now so I'm confident in what I'm doing.

My struggle now is to get clients and in the market to get cash flow to register for VAT.

Any suggestions on how and where to find clients? What did you guys do when you first launched your business?

I can’t help with acquiring new clients, but with regard to the VAT registration — a voluntary registration only reguires a R50k turnover in any 12 months.

Thanks, I am aware of that yes but to get to that amount or to atleast R4200/month so that I can voluterelly apply after 3 months is the struggle.

Or could I perhaps run that amount through my account with my own money? Which is probably illegal?

Identified my target market and then knocked on doors like crazy. After a while, some doors opened.
        Participation is voluntary.

You probably won’t get away with that, SARS employees are not that gullible anymore, they will ask for supporting docs.
