    Export work .

In the mechanical engineering sphere of SA. I am in search for export work . My local customer base has dwindled , I need to increase my cutomer base . I do realise the pitfalls and traps asociated with export . I see no other way . Local laws are pushing me away . I see no other way anymore.

I'd prefer to stay in Africa . If possible . but if no joy next would be the Americas and Australasia

Have you identified potential export partners or markets? If so, the DTI's Export Marketing & Investment Scheme could help you tap into them.

If you haven't identified potential export partners or markets, then that would obviously be your first step. Some online research would probably be a good starting point.

Out of curiosity, which local laws are "pushing you away"?

It concerns ERWAT and further I suspect. Being a lvl 2 BEE I have to source 30% work to a level 1 BBBEEE Company and. other residual comunity funds . (this for tenders over R 200000). smaller tenders im also excluded . CIDB ratings to low . If I want to continue this path , I have to create a lvl1 company with a full Black owned entity with all paraphernalia attached . ( it has to be audited) . If I were to quote as a lvl2 I would be out with price and rating . So hence , now I must swindle to get business, it's not on. Thanks for the info thus far. I apreciate it .
