Well you see it works like this: You buy some land - that is how you start!

Well, real estate is not only buying a land and building something on it. If you have money, you can search for interesting project, which is going to be built in the nearest future and check if they need investors. You invest some amount of money however later on .. you can sell your flat for example in a ready building and not only return your money but earn something

Of course in South Africa all you need to do is to squat on somebody elses land and build a shack!

First you read and research everything there is to know about real estate. Don't just listen to fool like us. There are no shortcuts in life.
There are many careers in real estate from developer to conveyor to letting or sales agent. For some of these careers you need formal training and others not.
For some you need to invest up front, such as buying and developing a property, for other such as sales agent, you just need to sustain yourself and sell.
Decide what you want to be or do. Then do it!
