[Question] How to acquire original CK1 and CK 2 documentation

Hi Guys

New to the forum (this is my first post)

I bought a business (CC) with 2 partners about 4 years ago.
I had the labour Dept inspecting me last week and i needed to supply my CK1 docs, which i searched high and low for but cannot find them.

I then went onto the CIPC website and called the operator etc. They told me to request the docs via their website. I did and received nothing. So today i phoned back and it has been established that the reason for not receiving anything until now was because of payment issues.

After the call i went to their offices and a lady helped me print a doc, that isnt a CK1 or CK 2 doc, but i would like to get originals if at all possible.

Now, My question is, Is there another way to go about getting the required docs so that i can get all in order for the labour dept when they come next week to check if i have complied.

I think it might be worth noting that we bought an existing CC and therefore have made a name change.

Do you know if you (or your accountant) has filed the annual returns with the CIPC each year?

The reason is that the CC can be deregistered if this hasn't been done for more than 2 years.

I think it might be worth noting that we bought an existing CC and therefore have made a name change.

In that case a CK1 would serve no purpose. You require the CK2, which is an amendment of the CK1.

The confirmation certificate from CIPC normally suffices for all purposes.
