My maid's son is trying to get some part time jobs, he is 16. He went to the sportsman's warehouse and they told him to 'get a tax number' before he could apply.
Is this really necessary at his age? I don't suspect they will be paying him more than 2k a month.
Everyone pretty much has to have a tax number now.It is quite easy,get him to call SARS.He will need his ID number and they will give him a tax number.We did it with 70 staff members.
