[Question] important elements to converting quotation into cash in the bank.

    Hi,

We into business. Lately potential clients request quotations (which is good, shows that customers are interested) but they decide not to buy from us (prices are within market ask).

We drafted payment schemes (ways of paying, e.g: credit, lay-bye) but the challenge is persistent.

Can you kindly advise on what to do to overcome the above mentioned challenge

Unfortunately thats business. Without knowing your product etc its difficult to say. Perhaps do more market research. Sometimes price does not matter depending on the product and the demand. Perhaps you are advertising to the wrong market. It also depends on how long you have been around, your credibility, your premises, your service, your guarantee, your backup, your aftersales service, your reputation etc etc etc.

What do you do? What do you sell?

Knowing that might make it easier to offer advice.

        Only a pleasure.

Contact these potential clients that haven't bought from you, and ask some intelligent questions.

Top of my list would be "You requested a quote on x product, did you end up buying one?"

From there, if the answer is "no", ask why not, and what would help them make a favourable buying decision.
If the answer is "yes", ask what factors influenced their decision to purchase from someone else.

        And just listen....
