[Question] Notice to Creditors in Deceased Estates

    Hi everyone

I just have a couple of questions in regards to Notices to Creditors in Deceased Estates. I know that the Government Gazette publishes pages and pages of these notices each week, but here's my questions:

    1. Which companies are making use of this? All companies?
    2. Do they manually check each and every ID number against their own businesses?
    3. Is there an automated service that can do these checks and notify a business?

    Thanks

Would be cool if all creditors & debt collectors were sent the address of the final resting place of the dearly departed. Let them just try to harass them any further...

      Those are actually good questions!

Personally, I rely on getting my notices from the executor of the deceased estates.
      Participation is voluntary.

        Thanks Dave

Just wonder what would happen if an executor does not know about certain debt, or if it is not reported to him/her. This could have negative impacts on a creditor I suppose...

As long as you're sending monthly statements, I've found that hasn't been a problem.
          (So far... )

The BIG pain is the speed (or should that be "lack of speed") at which some estates are wound up.
