    Getting a GPRS Speedpoint

I've been able to source a great POS system. The guy knows what he is talking about and the support is great.

The question is now the Speedpoint. I want a GPRS Speedpoint because I need to be able to use the device a conventions etc. Does anybody have any thoughts on different devices and services offered by the different banks. I haven't had time to investigate the matter yet and I am hoping that somebody has experience and insight to share.

Nedbank have just come out with a device which is quite small whereby you can take credit cards. It links to your cell phone and completes the transaction. It is totally portable and looks like quite a handy unit.

I spoke to a couple of banks. Their rentals and service fees are all much the same. I decided to get a GPRS mobile terminal from ABSA. I am already an ABSA client and the lady I spoke to is really on the ball. I can't say that I am pro ABSA per se, I decided to go with them because it is convenient.

So, next week we install the POS and the Speedpoint....

..now all we need are products and customers...damn....didnt think of that...
