[Question] Requirements for starting a cycle tour company

Anybody have any ideas about the requirements for starting up a bicycle tour company, ie, would the tour leader need to be qualified, would the company need public liability insurance even though the business would not be operating on company premises... Any other comments or suggestions?

Leader would have to be a qualified local tour guide (course around R6000) and be registered. Needs a first aid course as well. If you using a vehicle you will need a PDP license as well as the car needs to be licensed to take paying passengers (I think).

Certainly Liability cover needed.

If any client injured as a result of your negligence (or claimed negligence) they could sue you.
