[Question] Can a minor receive renumeration from a CC?

I was wondering if anyone could please assist?

I know that minors are legally allowed to become a member of a cc if the parent gives concent, but I want to know if they are legally allowed to recieve a small amount of renumeration from the CC for odd jobs on a monthly basis?

I stand to be corrected, but I think they can, however the income will probably have to reflect on the parent's tax return.

Nothing precludes a minor from receiving pay.
The area that may attract concern would be "under-age" labour.
They would pay tax in their own name.
A minor would need the parents consent to contract though, unless they are emancipated.

sterne - when my children who at the age where they could get a job at a restuarant waitressing etc - they were told that they were under the legal age of working ? You now say it is ok if they have the parents permission ? ??
