Insurance = Legalised Racketeering
My most recent incident arises from my car being dinged while parked at the shops.
The two racketeering companies have a knock for knock agreement so there is no recovery.
I did not have to pay any excess...but...they added the claim to my loss ration calculation and adjusted my premiums accordingly.
Presumably the other party had the same scenario on their account and so both the racketeers gain from one experience.
Someone should test the CPA with this racket of not paying out claims as a result of BS reasons:-
Look at these rules to test for fraud and tell me that they do not apply to most of these cases.
Fraud must be proved by showing that the defendant's actions involved five separate elements: (1) a false statement of a material fact,(2) knowledge on the part of the defendant that the statement is untrue, (3) intent on the part of the defendant to deceive the alleged victim, (4) justifiable reliance by the alleged victim on the statement, and (5) injury to the alleged victim as a result.
2 - Standard practice says we will not pay out until all hoops are jumped and there is a 90% chance that we cannot get away with not paying.
3 - There is no intention to pay out
4 - All us victims rely on the policy we have
5 - All of us have experienced loss at some stage after dust has settled.
Just another example of corporate gangsters operating in the open made legal by the other gangsters in charge.Comment
