CC issues - Urgent - Please help

In the 1980's, when South Africa was still under apartheid, as non-whites we could not own certain property.
However, my father's friend appointed a 'nominee' white person to purchase this property on their behalf, using a CC.

This man has disappeared or is now dead. He has not contributed a single cent to the business or even worked in the business. We have no idea what happened to him and no family members of his have come forward.

My father is sitting with a problem now that his property is registered on a CC's name where only this man's name is registered upon it. All this time my father has fully paid for the property, the rates, the taxes, etc.

What legal recourse does my father have in order to put the property onto his name?

    I would say, very little.
A better course of action would be to approach an attorney, who should approach the executor of the deceased estate. It would help if your father has any documentation in support of the arrangement.
Perhaps one of the legal chaps on here could advise?

Oh what a stunning can of worms! And the more I gaze upon it, the more worms I see.
Even in a best case scenario.

The clock has been ticking against you for nearly two decades already. I suggest the only thing urgent now is to find a lawyer, preferably a good one.
      Participation is voluntary.
