[Opinion] SCAM ALERT - server security upgrade

The following scam is doing the rounds now. PLEASE do not get caught!

It is obvious from the email address that this is NOT from a bank. Heed the phishing warnings issued by banks.

    "Dear Customer

In compliance with the directives from South Africa's Financial Regulation board for all banks to improve their banking securities to curtail the increasing rate of banking fraud, we at FNB have decided to migrate all online, cellphone and ATM banking users to our new HYPER SECURE SERVER (HSS). Upgrading is not a choice, its a MUST!.

Note: If you choose to ignore our request, we will have no choice but to suspend or permanently deactivate your account.

FNB Protects your online banking, to Upgrade to our new (HSS) security servers, click below

    upgrade here

    Sincerely,
First National Bank - a division of FirstRand Bank Limited. An Authorised Financial Services and Credit Provider (NCRCP20) Team
