    Trading online

For years now we have seen Europeans and Americans trading forex, government bonds and stocks online as a way to earn income on the side of a day job, or as their primary source of income.

I think read a statistic that every year South African Internet penetration jumps by 15% which is massive. We also know that we have huge unemployment issue in South Africa; both in the poorer classes as well as the middle classes who have access to computers and the Internet.

So what is the chance that this business can take off in South Africa in the next few years?

    Pardon the ramble.

Being in the market, I can tell you that almost every private investor trading stocks online has a much higher than average net worth.

It's not the internet access that's the problem - it's the R10k - R20k that you need to have to start your trading account, and it needs to be spare cash you won't miss if you lose it - poorer and middle class can't afford to take that risk.

It’s the name of chance so I can’t give any suggestion about it.
