[Question] Registering a start up Internet business with CIPC

    Hello,
If I am to register a business with the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission.
How do I classify an internet service/business that is dedicated to assisting users in locating/securing accommodation in South Africa and different parts of the world also handles flights booking, hotel reservation, visa applications, securing overseas study opportunities etc.

FNB has an on-line portal for registering a business and opening an account at the same time. The classification is via a drop box and will probably go under personal or business services. The service is very affordable and much easier than standing in line.

      Hi

When you register a company you are only required to select from profit or non-profit. A profit company can pursue any legal activity. It takes a matter of hours, with the exception of the name reservation, which takes about 2 days.

As has been mentioned, you'd need to state profit or non-profit for CIPC. However, if you're going to list it on business directories or create a Facebook page, they'll ask you for a category. I'd consider business services for that.

Did you manage to get your company registered with CIPC?
