[Question] Google Adsense - Ads do not display

    Hi all.
Are there any google adsense fundis around?
I have what's called a 'hosted account' on Google Adsense. This means it's (apparently) approved to show adverts on blogger sites, youtube, etc. Not much help to me as I want to display ads on my own sites.
I've googled instructions and tried to use this. https://support.google.com/adsense/a...ww-ww-et-asfe_

The problem comes in here: "In the “Show ads on other websites” section, enter the URL of the site where you plan to show ads." I do not have that option, as the attached screen dump will show.

Any ideas? Thank youClick image for larger version

On that page, click on Account in the left hand menu bar. It'll open the menu section you're looking for.

If, on your live site or in the Editor, you see a blank box in place of the Google AdSense app, it is possible that the app is being blocked by security software on your computer or a browser extension (e.g., AdBlock). To test this, view your site using an anonymous browsing window as follows:
      Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
      Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
If you are able to see the Google AdSense app using an anonymous browsing window, disable your browser extensions and Internet monitoring software, one at a time, to determine which one is causing the problem.

      i think this might help

Thankyou for those responses. Dave A, when I click 'Account', I still don't see the option?
KelleyJames12 - thankyou for that - I didn't know about being able to go incognito. But the app appears exactly the same in both versions - as a yellow block down the sidebar with no adverts displaying? I actually have no adblockers installed - only BitDefender. Does anyone perhaps have further comments?

I'm not sure what you're doing wrong, Gaynor - but this is what I get when the Account group of menu items is displayed:

BTW. The ads will only display once Google has reviewed your account change request.

Hi Dave - but on that option it still doesn't give you the "show ads on other websites section". TBH - I think the problem lies with the fact that I have a hosted account - which means apparently you can only easily show ads on sites like blogger, etc - but there IS a way to show them on your own sites - that's what I'm trying to find

Have you claimed a site under the Site management section, Gaynor?
If you've got the ad code snippets loaded on the site already, as far as I can tell that's all you have left to do.

And then wait for someone from Google to get to approving it and upgrading your account.
