I don't understand your question, there is no relationship between the name on the internet and the name on your letterhead.
You can call your domain my_freaking_hot_knockshop.com and then invoice on your proper business name....nobody cares!Comment

back to business, your online presence is an extension or association with your brand. I suggest that where possible, that you try keep your domain name similar to that of your company name.
I simple example of why this may benefit you is a potential customer hears your company name and does not necessarily know how to get in touch with you, so they do a search on google for xyz trading. Lets say for a moment that your registered name was xyz trading and your domain was ieatpopcorn.co.za - the likely hood of them finding your domain listed on googles first page of results is slim.
hope this helpsComment
