[Question] Insurance & medical aid broker

I'm really not happy with the current financial advisors I use for my business and personally. Its taken them 1 year after I requested a meeting and have still not made the time to come see me to explain the policies and cover we currently have.

Can anyone recommend a broker that handles business and personal insurance and medical aid in Cape Town, preferably Claremont'ish?

Welcome to the club. My experience with brokers and agents is very bad. The brokers have all turned out to be agents, working for a bigger organization. We all know that agents cannot sell you the best product/service available, because they have to promote the products of their company.

The same goes for investments. While everyone is biting the bullet with falling share prices and interest rates, the investment agents are still earning their commission, regardless of how the market performs. The regulator should change the rules so that all commissions are earned at the end of the term, or even periodically, based on the performance of the investment. There should be no up front or monthly fee, so that you can earn on the full investment amount and not what is left over after the so-called expert skimmed his fees off the top.
