Pastel Xpress back-up doubling in size after a few journals were processed?

    Hi,

I have a client that sends me the back-up of their Pastel Xpress databases via e-mail. I obtain the information that I need by restoring these back-ups and recommend entries for them to process. They process these journals and then send the updated database to me.

In February, something strange happened. The size of the back-up that they sent to me prior to the entries was around 6mb. When they made a back-up of the database after the entries were processed (to send this to me) the size of the back-up doubled to 12mb. They tried backing it up again and it was even bigger!

Does anyone know how and why this could have happened? And how to avoid this from happening?

    Thank you!

My guess is that backups have been made within the company folder itself.

Use Windows Explorer to open the company folder and check if there are any zip files in the folder with the same name as the company folder.
