    Credit card cashbook won't balance

    Hi There

My credit card cashbook won't balace and I don't know what to do anymore. I think it could be the date cycle, e.g.our statements are dated from the 28/05/2011 to the 29/06/2011. How do I go about captureing that in my cashbook? How am I supposed to capture the credit card Statements/ expenses is a cashbook really necessary?

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Many Thanks
    V

The date cycle should not be an issue, provided you define the correct reconciliation date on your accounting system.

I would recommend that you use a cashbook to process credit card transactions, from a control point of view and a VAT processing point of view.

What accounting system are you using?
