    Pastel statements - Excel

    Hopefully someone can help urgently on this.

    I have recently taken on a new client who insists on having his pastel debtor statements in excel format. When I run statements to excel it does not look the same as a Pastel statement which is what the client wants.

    I am running Pastel Xpress 11, the previous accountant was using Partner - is this a limitation on Xpress or am I missing a setting somewhere that I need to change.

      Hello Kim

      Had a look now - not just a xpress thing - same happening in partner also

      I can remember doing this a long long time ago.... but can't seem to find anything now.... will keep looking and let you know when i do find something

      did he provide you with an example of how it should look?

          I suggest that you purchase Pastel's Business Intelligence Centre (BIC) module, which will allow you to custom-design any report, in Excel format, including customer statements.

          I have created customer statements for one of my clients, using BIC, who sell to the Shoprite-Checkers group. Shoprite-Checkers will only accept statements in a certain Excel layout (CSV to be exact), so that they can import them into their system.

              Thanks guys.

              Geraldine - it should look exactly like a statement when you print one directly to screen or .pdf format.

                  Just making sure, cause some people think the html printing looks like excel. I see Neville gave the answer to the problem.

                      Hey Neville,

                      The previous accountant was doing the statements manually onto excel -have the template and have now managed to finalise these. Odd way of doing things if you ask me, but hey the client gets what the client wants.
                      For 17 statements every second month it would take far too long to recoup the cost of the additional software. Thanks though.

                              Kim, the BIC Standard module costs R2,299.00 incl VAT, plus optional annual Cover of R910.00 incl VAT.
