[Question] Pastel: Customised forms and how to save them- Help

    Hey there,

So we are pretty new to the whole Pastal system, on a whole its pretty easy.. but when you eventually get the form designed and styled the way you want and need it to be you then have another battle. Saving.

So I downloaded information on how to save the form, in which the file extensions have to be absolutely correct and then of course the place you save them. Now I think i have the place correct c://pastalxpress/companyfolder... however I am not entirely sure that the format in which I have saved the document is correct.

So far I have tried to save the invoice design as follows:
    cinvdpdfspe.enz and cinvdspe.enz

Is this correct or am I way off base here?

    Thanks
    Zoe

    Hi Zoe,

    You are almost correct...

The file names should be cinvdpdfsp.enz and cinvdsp.enz (i.e. no "e" before the file extension).

The rule that Pastel uses is as follows:
    - It first looks in the company folder for a *.enz file. If it finds one, it uses that.
    - If it can't find a *.enz file in the company folder, it will look for a *.enz file in the C:\Xpress*\Custom\Forms folder.
    - If it can't find a *.enz file in either the company folder or the Forms folder, it will use the generic *.eng file in the Forms folder.

    Hope this helps.
