[Question] How to Setup multiple quote templates , per customer

Hi - I am new to posts
I use Pastel Partner Ver11- 4x Multi User
I would like to setup , repetitive quotes for customers that require minor edits on each quote.
How do I create Templates for each Customer -- then call up these quotes , to do the editing and sending of quote

    Hi Dave,

Loading templates is something that is great but not available in Pastel itself. Our MyCustomers app has been developed with the ability to load multiple templates. It is specifically developed for Pastel Partner. You can reach out to me if you would like to find out more about it.

What you can however do if you do not want to make use of my suggestion above is create the 4 template quotations in Pastel. Then Export them using the Batch > Export function at the Bottom left of the quotation. You can then open this file in Notepad and extract each template separately and resave it as a text file.

Once you want to use it you import it through the Batch > Import function. You then just update the relevant Header fields (date, period, customer number, reference etc). That will work.

    Hope this helps.

    Kindest regards,
    Alec

        Hi Dave

Once a quote is accepted, do you go directly to the invoice, or do you use the sales order function to reserve the stock / acknowledge acceptance of the quote?

If you aren't using the sales order function, you can change the name of the sales order (e.g. to recurring quote). You create the initial quote for the client, then when you go to the sales order you can link to a quote. You select the option to leave the original document in place when linked. You can then send edit the "recurring quote" and send it to the customer.

          Hi Kevin
Thanks for taking the time to respond.
After quote is accepted - I go straight to Invoice , do some minor changes / updates. I normally select "delete quote" .
My issue is that for 1x Customer , I have Multiple variations of the quote. i.e with or without extra services.
I want to quickly identify therefore - which quote is most appropriate now - and then modify very little on the new quote
i.e - maybe saving the quote as "with 4x services -- or with 3x services" etc
