[Question] Importing Excel Journals to Pastel Xpress V11

Good day,

I need to know how to import Excel journals to Pastel Xpress V11 as I work from home and don't have access to Pastel.
There doesn't seem to be an option for CVS.


Any tips or advise would be highly appreciated.

Importing Journals into Pastel

The option to import journals is not found under the File, Export / Import menu option.

The import operation requires the file to be in a specific format (attached). You can import journal and cash book batches from a comma-delimited ASCII file.

To import files :

Open the journal you wish to import into
Click the Batch button, and choose the Import option.
In the File Name field, enter the name of the file you are importing from. You can click the Zoom icon or press <F5> to select the import file.
If you import a file, the system validates it for errors. If there are errors, the system displays the errors, and aborts the import without importing any records. You can then correct the import file and re-import.
