I'm a one man electrical contracting business. My needs are mobility, VAT management, some stock control and easy bank recons.
Sage (and which package) or Quickbooks (again which package?)
Thanks in advance
Looking at Quickbooks Online pricing, the fly in your ointment is "some stock control," which effectively doubles the cost - but comes with a whole pile of additional features (which you might not need or use).
So if you need stock control, then Quickbooks Plus is what you will need.
For my small electrical business, I’ve found QuickBooks Online Simple Start to be a lifesaver. It’s easy to use, handles VAT, and makes bank reconciliation a breeze. I tried Sage before, but it felt a bit too complex for my needs. QuickBooks is mobile-friendly too, which is perfect for when I’m on the go.
