Pastel xpress 12 removed company

    Pastel xpress 12 removed company

    I was attempting to install my single user pastel express 12 on a new pc.
    My company appeared on the new pc with a red cross, and i mistakenly removed the company.

    Now my company shows under the 'show removed' tab. when I try to add it again it gives me an error message 'your registration allows you to create 2 companies. You have exceeded this number.

    There's only 2 companies, my company and the demo company.

    How do i restore my company onto the new pc?

    You would need to remove the companies from Xpress. This is not so easy to do anymore on older versions of Pastel. There are usually 2 ways to do this:

    1. You may be able to edit the registry and remove traces of those companies. Within the Windows registry, look under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\VB and VBA Program Settings\XpressV12 and delete the company folders. That may not be the only area where they need to be deleted from.
    2. Use the reset utility. This is a much easier option. However, the reset utility is a seperate program that is not part of the default Xpress12 installation. The reset utility also can no longer be registered for Xpress version 12 so you will have difficulty with this.       Thank you.

      It was a new computer, so i uninstalled pastel xpress and reset the entire computer.

      Then the first time i tried to install the xpress 12,it failed. On the second attempt it installed.

      I could then load the company.
      It is now working.

        Im using a 14inch screen on windows 11. The tax invoice, and cashbook screens are very small.
        The maximise button is greyed out.

        Is there anyway to change the size of those screens?

          You will have to change your screen resolution to sort that issue out.
