[Question] Pastel Partner 50c Database Editor

    Morning all.

In older versions of Pastel I could view and edit the database directly to fix small errors. However, 50c does not come with a database editor....any idea what program I can use?

The error is small and I'm certain I can repair it a lot faster than Pastel support says it will take to do if I send them the files, just cant not process anything for the 2 days they say it will take to fix.

You can use the Pervasive Control Centre to access the database.

I often use a small, rather outdated, betrieve database editor called bdbd32 - you can download it from here: Bdbd32

Save the folder in the Pastel19 folder.

        Hi Neville.

Would it be possible to edit an inventory code with that? My OCD is kills me everytime I look at it and would like to be able to fix it.

        Thanks.

I would not use the database editor to edit inventory codes, as there are multiple records in multiple data tables that are linked to an inventory code, and unless you have the time and knowledge to edit everything that is connected, you could very well "break" the database.

If you have Partner, rather use the Change...Renumber Codes option.
