[Question] Runtime Error 5 - when search for a description in Cash Book processing (Sage 50C Pastel - V19)

    Hi

I cant find any information on where this detail is stored when you build up a list of abbreviations & descriptions used on Cash Books and Journals.
When we search, we are getting a Runtime Error 5 invalid procedure call or argument, and Pastel closes.
When posting Sales and Purchase Invoices, one can also save a table of abbreviations and its not the same table used for Journals/Cash Books.

    Any help much appreciated

The abbreviations used in journals is stored in the file named Accabbr.dat in your company folder.

If that file is corrupted, I suggest that you copy the same file from a previous backup or from your prior year company folder and overwrite the file in your live company. You will lose any abbreviations that you might have created since the restored file was last updated.
