easyfile update -manual system 7.09 to 7.1.7 version

Hi all
Please advise :

Please assist with easyfile failing to update ,i have easyfile 7.0.9 says trying to update to 7.17.)
THe update could not be installed due to a certificate problem.-adobe air -the certificate does not the installed certificate or is invalid.Please contact the application author.
easyfile does not update.- adobe air not working....!
Please advise what to do..?

I solved this by uninstalling e@syFile, Adobe Air and the version of Java that I had installed.
Then installed the download of e@syFile (rather than "upgrading").

This solved the problem although I am not sure which component was giving the trouble.
(While I suspect it was Java, after faffing around to solve the problem I wasn't in the mood to prove it once I got past the problem.)

i un-installed ,easyfile .and then re-installed easyfile,used my same user name and password , and everything was there ,no need to restore backup.
