    Pastel inventory decimals problem

    Hi everyone,

Just joined the forum, so hope someone can help!

In Pastel Express, some (not all) of my inventory items appear on my invoices with a ".99" Eg, Dinner cost is R150, but when i enter it on the invoice it displays as R149.99! Its a small but very annoying problem and as far as i can see, all my inventory items are set up exactly the same.

Any technical Pastel guru out there that can advise?

    Cheers
    Rob

    Hi Rob

No definitive answer, but a few things you can check, which might solve your issue.

Go into edit - inventory item file. Select one of the items giving you the issue. On the prices tab, change the price that is giving you the issue. If you invoice inclusive, change the inclusive price and if you invoice exclusive, change the exclusive price, and save the item. It could be that pastel is rounding the price up or down, based on the VAT, and you are "losing" the 1c in the vat rounding calculation. If you go into edit customer account, you can choose whether the customer is processed as Exclusive or Inclusive on the processing tab. Check which way round it is for customers that are processing the item correctly, and change the other customers accordingly.
