    [Question] SARS "user does not have sufficient rights"

    Hi all,
    I am pretty new at everything, so can someone tell me why SARS says: "user does not have sufficient rights".
    I do have the company on my profile and myself as the tax payer, I am just not sure whether I HAVE to be a tax practitioner in order to do certain things.
    I am trying to go into the "Request historic IT notices" to view the balance of the customer's account/ SARS statement?

    Hi Miek

    Go through all the pages for the company on eFiling, looking for "Admin Rights". Tick each box you see so as to give you full rights.

    I had this problem and it took me 4 months to sort out. Simple answer but SARS waltzed me around until I registered a formal complaint.

        I managed to find it, I have searched & searched for about 2 weeks now and I truly have to thank you for your help. It means sooo much as I started to feel like I couldn't move the mountain infront of me. THANK you So so much!

              SARS have changed eFiling a lot since I had this problem so I suggest you book a virtual appointment (rather than contact the Call Centre, who are useless) and ask them to talk you through it.

              Personally, I dream of a world with eFiling.......

                  Hi Naseef,
                  On my eFiling screen there is a "User" option at the top menu next to "Home"
                  When selected a "User" menu appears on the left with another "User" option which when selected gives more options.
                  The new menu that appears gives you an option called "My Administrators"

                    Thanks so much, the sars consultants doesn't know themselves. I spoke to 4 consultants, only the last one actually helped me.

                      Hi All
                      eFiling stopped working for me. I have Admin Rights. I could log in and see all the tax payers on my portfolio but zero access to returns or history. Tried daily for three days as I was trying to submit our prov. tax return.
                      Contact centre had no idea why I could not access eFiling.
                      So this is what I tried and it worked.
                      On eFiling profile click User, click Change Details, click Update User Rights.
                      All working perfectly now.
