[Question] How to block Bank Control Account?

Hello,

We have closed the below bank account and I wish to block it so that it doesn't accidentally have transactions allocated to it. When I try to do so I get the below error message. I'm not exactly sure what I need to do in order to be able to block it. Can anyone please help me?

Hi Michelle,

Before you can block the account, go to Setup...Entry Types and locate the first line item associated with the cashbook account.

In the column named "Cash Book" and click on the drop down arrow.

Scroll all the way to the bottom and select "Remove Cash Book".

Repeat for the second line for that cashbook.

Thanks Neville... but I have transactions . I’m going to have to wait 2 years :-(
