[Question] How to create new company in Pastel Xpress

I am trying to create a new company is my Xpress, but it keeps telling me I cannot open a new company in an existing Pastel company, but I do not have any companies open. Is there a way around this error please?

You have a file in your Xpress directory that shouldn't be there, but isolating it is a nightmare.

Workaroud:

Windows Explorer - create a new folder on your c: drive eg data.
In Xpress - when you select new company - double click your c:\ in the folder list and then select the data folder you have just created.
Create the company. Close Xpress.
In windows explorer cut the company out of the data folder and paste it into your Xpress folder
In Xpress, go to open a company, select manage. The company you created will be in the list with a red cross. Click it, then remove the company. Select add company, browse to the Xpress folder then double click your company database and select ok. Close the open company window. Your database will now be in the open company window.
