[Question] Pastel Xpress V11 lost all companies

I have not upgraded to a new version yet. All my companies in Pastel Xpress Version 11 have been deleted.

When I go to Open a Company I am confronted with a message which reads : One or more companies have been deleted through the operating system or was removed from the company list. Pastel will now update the menu selection. Please reselect a company in the "open company" screen.

When I click the message to close, there are no companies in the open company screen. 'The open last used company on startup' button is greyed out.

I have tried to restore data from backups on my memory stick, but the okay button to select the various companies is greyed out.

Is there a way to find all the data I had saved.

I have recently restored previous years Pastel folders (from 2016 to 2021), but when I try and add them in Pastel Xpress2009, they are greyed out.
The current 2022 and 2023 accounts work perfectly and I even successfully reregistered the Pastel.

what could possibly cause the problem of not being able to add the company?

I need them urgently for an audit.

Were the 2016 to 2021 companies created by the same version and build that you are using for the 2022 and 2023 companies?

If you open each of the older folders in Windows, do they have approximately the same number of files as the later folders?
