    [Question] VAT Charges

    Good Day

I am a Pastel User V 14.0.1, our organisation use a different invoicing package and only import CVS file to pastel at end of month. I have recently discovered that even though i import my invoices inclusive of VAT when they are in pastel they are charged again eg if i import an invoice $60.00 inclusive, in patel it will be $69.00
Kindly assist on how i can change the settings in patel to match the imported invoice values.

    Hello Taps

Importing is so much quicker. I also love it.

Inclusive and exclusive sits in each header line in the CSV file. In all the Pastel versions I have worked it is field number 9. Y or N is used in this field to indicate whether the prices are inclusive or exclusive. Y = Inclusive and N = Exclusive.

So check whether your import file indicates a Y which will tell Pastel that $60.00 is inclusive of VAT.

Let me know if this sorts out this issue for you.

    All the best.
