[Question] Pastel v18 - How to delete inventory items with a history?

We have over several years built up a substantial number of Inventory items which are no longer used.
Having just completed a year-end we were hoping to clear many of these items.
Although we have run Delete History/Clear files for items 3 years+ we still get the message "Inventory item appears in the history file. Cannot delete."
According to the date "Last invoiced" in the Edit Inventory screen the history is older than just the previous year.

Is there a way to purge the old history or to merge multiple inventory items into a single item?
I assume that we would then be able to rid ourselves of these items.

    hi

if there are transactions associated with the inventory it is better just to block the inventory files thereby preventing it from being used in future.

If you install the V19 upgrade, there is a new feature which allows you to delete inactive items.

          Good evening
Is it OK to create a new company, and manually load the BOMs & inventory codes we use regularly, to try and simplify our lists of products etc instead of copying the company, thus keeping the history?
