    [Question] Pastel Import

    Hello

    Can someone please assist me?
I am struggling to import a suppliers masterfile on to pastel partner.

I exported the masterfile from the original pastel.
After this I edited the data in excel as required.
I saved the excel in a csv format.
I follow the steps to import the masterfile on pastel, and get a few errors like:

"Line 1: There are blank spaces in the code"
"Line 1: The ID number is not valid"

    This goes on an on...
Not sure what I should do to fix this?

    Thank you,

          Hi Cilly

Firstly, that is not a .csv file - you have separated your fields with ; instead of , . Issue is probably with your regional settings - go to control panel - region and language - set decimal to . and digit grouping and list separator to , in both the numbers and the currency tabs, so when you save the files as a .csv you field separator is now a ,
You will need to delete the header row from your file as well
Also, delete all the ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; at the bottom of your document.
Supplier codes in Pastel Partner can be up to 6 digits long, but may not contain any spaces. Your codes have the ; separator at the end of the 6 digits, but there are spaces in between the end of the code and your field separator , - you will either need to remove the spaces, or pad your supplier codes to the full 6 digits allowed.

            Hi Kevin

I am having a similar issue as above, I have been doing imports for many years and have never experienced this before. I also followed all your instructions above for in case, but to no avail.

Errors I am getting are below:

            1) Blank Code
            2) Blank Spaces in Code
            3) Blank Description

The very final Error right at the end is the following:

            4) Undetectable Error (Input past end of file)

I have tried to attach the file for your perusal, however it exceeds the upload limit - 131kb.

            Thank you in advance.

I really would appreciate your assistance with this.

              Hi Brendon

You are welcome to email it to me and I will see if I can detect the issue. I will PM you my email address. Please also let me know what version of Pastel you are trying to import it into.
