    [Question] Pastel cash Journal

Hi, i need assistance please. I have captured and linked invoices on pastel cash receipts, but the system gave me a default date of October 2019 when capturing.

All that update did not pull through, thus not reflecting on the customers statements and not being taken off on the Customer age analysis reports.
I went back and tried recapturing, but the invoices to link to have disappeared, meaning that the linking went through in the first place. Please assist.

Hi Gloria. You will have to go to PROCESS / MATCH OPEN ITEM and unmatch them one by one. Once they have been unmatched you can recapture them through the cash book and match them up again. Don't forget to reverse the original payments that you entered in October.

Point your mouse at the receipt. Left click. The curser will change to a two sided arrow. Drag it up to the "Unallocated" row and click that. It should then drop the receipt into the "unallocated" section (which means that it has not been matched)

Click on the SAVE button to save your changes.

If the system took you to October 2019, it generally means that was the last period processed in. I suggest you run a trial balance from May to year end, untick the "include opening balances" option and do not show zero accounts. This will give you an indication of all transactions processed after the current month, and what you need to reverse. There may be invoices or other documents processed as well.
