How to restore company back ups when Pastel has been reinstalled

    How to restore company back ups when Pastel has been reinstalled

    Please could I ask for help on how to restore back ups after my laptop has been formatted and Pastel Xpress reinstalled? Do I have to create new companies and then restore?

    The easiest way is to extract your zip file (backup) back into the XpressXX (V12/14/17)(on the server machine) under the same folder name you had. Eg extract to c:\xpress17\Fred2018 - select to view the extracted files, then delete the backup.txt file you find there. Open Xpress, On the Open a company screen, select Ad Company, browse to the folder, double click it, and select Ok. When you close that down, it will be in your company menu.

      I have another problem! I have had my laptop formatted and Windows 10 installed and reinstalled Xpress V14 and it works fine to start with, but as soon as I shut down and then switch on again, it says sage connected services is busy, on top of a black screen and cannot even get into Windows from there. Is v14 compatible with Windows 10?

        Thank you so much, this worked! After I finally got my Xpress 14 to work in Windows 10!
