    [Question] Right terminology: Account Balance

    Hi,

The online billing application we use, uses the terminology "Account Balance" for outstanding amount on a client's account. This confused one particular Afrikaans speaking client so I want to find out what is the preferred terminology to use, to indicate that you owe money?

"Account balance / Rekening saldo". I am guessing your client will struggle with too

I have to say though, that really made me laugh!

Well that's the thing. It it meant for a negative, or positive balance?

We use "Balance Due" in one of our invoice templates which reflects credits that may have been allocated against the invoice.
        Participation is voluntary.
