Good day fellow accountants

I have a client

He registered a npo with department of social development.

Now if i check on cipc i cant fine info on that company . even the registration number is different

I have read up and it seems npos need to submit annual returns.


My question is must the client register a NPO with Cipc?

how was it posible to register with another entity other than cipc?

Are you sure it is registered as a company, a NPO may be any other form the likes of a partnership, trust, club etc. which will not be registered on CIPC.

yeah i see now its only registered with social developement and not as a NPC.

Its registered as a NPO, so its not requirement for a npo?

Another q is must or can a NPO register for PAYE and UIF if it employs people?

this NPO has a tax number
