[Question] Pastel XPress - Change in financial year end more than 13 periods

    Hello

I have a client who changed their financial year end from 31 May to 31 July, so the year would have 14 months of processing. I have rolled over to the new year and want to get the periods correct before I start processing, but Pastel Xpress only allows for a 13 month period (up to 30 June). Any suggestions on what I might be doing wrong or how I can handle this change? I am on V18

Xpress doesn't cater for what you are looking for. Either run a 2 month financial year, then roll end of July and reset to 12 months moving forward (you will only have 2 months comparative figures in prior year), or make the first period run for 60 days, then run the remaining periods normally. You will have slightly skewed comparatives and it throws out debtors and creditors ageing in the first period, but that is probably the best way to go.

      Hi Kevin

Thank you for the advice. I tried the 60 day period method, but it kept resetting to 30 days. Am going with the 2 months in one financial year and rolling over for a 12 month period.
