Pastel Workstation problem

    [Question] Pastel Workstation problem

    Good Day,
    I am having a problem with a workstation setting up Pastel:
    Pastel is working on the server, no problem and we have a 10 user licence. One of our workstations crashed and we re-installed everything, i installed Pervasive and Pastel, mapped the drive and created a shortcut to Pastel on the desktop from the mapped drive, all went well. The problem i have is when i open, i cannot find any companies, i went to registration and did the workstation registration and pointed it to P:\Pastel11\custom\registration and clicked finish but still i can see the company folders but cannot click OK. The funny thing is when i then go to the server the companies also disapear and i have to go through the registration process again on the server to get back into company folders. Does anyone have any idea what can be the problem? I have checked the Pervasive and Pastel is the same version

    To add the companies to the workstations's Pastel menu, click on Add Companies.

    On the left pane, you should see a list of the companies, with a red cross over each one.

    Highlight the first company and then click on Activate Company on the right. Browse via the mapped drive and then select the company folder and click OK. The red cross should disappear. Repeat for the other companies and then close the Add Companies screen.

    Your companies should now appear on the menu.

      Hi Neville, Thank you so much for your suggestion and quick responce. The problem is when i click on Add company, there is nothing there at all.

          Hi Neville, The problem is there is nothing in the Left pane, no server to select or anything. I can see the company folder but when i select it, i cannot click OK. Thanks

            If the left pane is completely blank, then click on the Locate Server button at the top right, and browse to P:\Pastel11\Custom\Registration.

            You should then see the server listed on the left pane, followed by the companies.

              Hi Neville, as per my first post, when i go to P:\Pastel11\Custom\Registration i then loose the company folders on the server. Not sure what is going on

                I suggest that we set up a quick TeamViewer session so that I can see what is going on.

                  Many thanks for the assistance that you advise me with on pastel. I have submitted my SARS. The question that I have is I have made a update on my cash book but I could not get them coming on my sars report that was the problem that I had so far

                    Pastel cash book question

                    Many thanks for the assistance that you advise me with on pastel. I have submitted my SARS. The question that I have is I have made a update on my cash book but I could not get them coming on my sars report that was the problem that I had so far.

                    How can I open the updated cash so that I can see if the date was correct maybe I entered the present dates not sure :

                      Please assist once I have completed 201812 vat report can I close it? so that I must be on the new one or how long should I wait to close the one that I worked with for
