    Importing Inventory Pastel Xpress V17

    Good Afternoon,

I've been desperately trying to import inventory in Pastel Xpress V17.

Here is what I've done so far, so not to mess anyone around.

    1. I.m now suck with an error code: Line 1: Group code does not exist? This is the only error as I have worked through all the others.
    2. I did export from Pastel as my example sheet
    3. It was exported in .csv format
    4. I'v also removed all blank spaces, so that has corrected that error
    5. Took out all " and any funny little characters that may cause problems
6.Pastel V17 does not like the standard .xls layout that pastel has provided, it tells me that the layout is incorrect.

Other than this, the only error i'm getting is with line 1: Group code does not exist.
So I'm at my wits end as I've checked everything

Just to also say thank you to Neville for providing a CB layout.csv this works perfectly. So i know a .csv layout does work, maybe I have done something wrong, on my spreadsheet?

If anyone has a little advice thank you in advance

    Kind Regards

Make sure that you include the leading zeroes in the group code, as a CSV file will drop the leading zeroes when you open it in Excel.

In other words, if the group code in Pastel is 001 then you must make sure that it reflects as '001 in the CSV file, not as 1.

      Hi Neville,
Thanks for coming back to me. I've done that several times it makes no difference; keeps giving me the same error. Played around with the format, it still does not want to allow the first line? It's the same error one the users had on this forum, he managed to fix it but can't tell us how? So sorry this terrible query keeps coming up with Pastel and .csv format.

I'll keep trying until something happens????

If you are prepared to upload the file, someone can probably point you in right direction.
