[Question] Pastel Accounting Partner and Pastel Payroll

Hi All,
If one is using both Pastel Partner and Pastel Payroll does anyone know if it is possible to install Pastel Payroll on a different pc to the one running Pervasive for Partner and then configuring Payroll to connect to the Pervasive db engine running on the pc for Partner and hence avoiding a 2nd installation of Pervasive? I have extra user licences for Pervasive available.
Any help will be appreciated.

If both pervasive versions is same, then you can install just one.
Once it is installed and say you install payroll afterwards, it will see that pervasive is already installed and will skip installing it again.

I need to send an invoice for commission on exports and have setup COMM as a non inventory item but need to relate different commission values to different export invoices. Anyone have an idea of how?

Hi

Payroll and Accounting have their own Pervasive licences. Similarly in a workgroup environment, every pc to use the program must have Pervasive installed. You can install Payroll on the second pc which will automatically install Pervasive, but if you want the 2 to interact, then you will have to share the Pastel Accounting folder on the first pc and map a drive on the second pc to the Accounting share.
