Hi, newbie here. I've seen a few threads about setting up Pastel so one can access the server from a networked client PC via a shared network drive, but how do I go about setting up Pastel on an employee's laptop to work from home, but still connect to the server at work? She will not be on the same LAN. We do have a multi user license. I'm not a network or IT guru. TIA.
You have to use remote desktop , but for that you need to open a port on the router (virus problems) , and you need a fix IP address or a VPN
Quickest way is just use Team viewer , or any other remote software , log directly into the server
You can use Zerotier, create an account and a network, install software on a computer in office and on the laptop, join the network you created.
RDP into the work pc from laptop at home, no ports need to be opened etc.
