VAT changes work in Pastel BUT...

    Good day

I wish to thank the members for assistance in making changes to the VAT rate in Pastel. However, this has caused some unnecessary pain. The new rate works flawlessly as per instructions given by Neville. However, this being said, I cannot make this work in the customer journals. I export sales figures from a veterinary software package via a CSV file and import them into pastel without having to create invoices.

Now I will have to create invoices to import thousands of lines of transactions into Pastel. A very inconvenient problem. Any ideas how I can make journals work like the customer documents?

Look forward to the advice and problem solving.

    Thanks

I am wondering if you have to apply default tax rates to the General Ledger accounts too????

If you are using Partner and you did the tax setup manually you will need to run the tax type adjustment utility for the GL, Customers and Suppliers to change the default tax type. It may be worth mentioning that when I tested the latest builds Pastel released for the vat updates for V14, 17 and 18 I picked up an error with the vat type for April only in the customer journal.
