    [Question] Pastel Bank Manager

I have done the upgrade to Version 17.1.5 of pastel Xpress. Now I am not able to access my bank manager. According to their knowledge base I have to download the new setup again and repair the installation. Which I have done according to their intruction but the download than fails to complete. I get an error message " Error 1309. Error reading from file: C:\ProgramData\Sage Installation\{47F648F3-20F1-40A2-80DD-047COC3FDDAD}\WinRoot\Xpress17\Xpress.exe. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it"

I am struggling and not able to get through to support

    Please help if possible

How did you start the Repair?

From the Control Panel or from the installation file itself?

It is best to re-launch the installation file and then select the Repair option.

Was Pastel open while you tried the Repair option?

It will probably be best if you installed Pastel and then reinstall it.

Also, make sure that you uninstall all previous versions of Pastel on your computer.

          Hi Neville

I unistalled Pastel and reinstalled it. Then I ran the repair again. Thank Goodness I received no error message this time, but my bank manager is still not working

And have you made sure that there are no previous versions of Pastel on your computer?

I have managed to find a repair. Its seems Pastel corrected their own error with the new update.

Please be advised that we are currently experiencing a higher than normal call volume due to the VAT update. Self-help documentation has been created to assist in making your life a little easier during this time. Get answers to questions anytime by searching the Sage Pastel Knowledge base. You will need your Serial Number and Customer Number to access the Knowledge base. Below is a list of errors you might receive after the VAT update. If you are experiencing any of the errors below, please select the appropriate link for a resolution.
                1. Bank Manager Error on version 17 and 18 after running the VAT Update
                2. Tax Type cannot be used when processing in Cash Book or Journals
                3. Runtime Error 430 when emailing or printing
                4. Runtime Error 430 when opening a company
                5. Runtime Error 430 on Scheduled Invoicing
                6. No VAT changes after running the VAT update

This is the link I used to correct the error. After installing the BM repair toolkit it has to be copied to the Coomon Files under Programs and run as administrator
