Best accounting software

Hi Guys

I need some advice on accounting software. I am starting up an accounting/bookkeeping and tax service business and was wandering what your experience has been with various accounting software.

I have been in corporate and only been exposed to the large brands like SAP & Oracle.

I have never used the likes of Pastel or anything else, so would need something that will teach myself quickly and be user friendly.

I would appreciate any advice on what is out there that is obviously affordable. For now I am a one man business so don't need multiple user licences. Is there anything out there that may be free as well.

You will find that the Sage Pastel Xpress, single-user, multi-company package will suit your requirements perfectly. This is what I recommend to all my accounting/bookkeeping clients.
